About Us

Cole Watkins Tours (CWT) started as a business project at Augusta State University in 2010. After receiving an “A+” on the project, Cole decided to turn the business into a reality in 2011 despite being a cash-strapped college student with only 3 kayaks to his name. He continued to work hard and grow the business year over year. His company has been a staple of the fun things to do in Columbia and Richmond Counties over the past decade plus.

CWT offers Guided Kayak Tours and Kayak Rentals to a variety of different waterways in the Augusta area. Our guides are friendly, knowledgable, and will do our best to make sure you have a memorable and safe day while on the water. CWT is a preferred paddled-partner of the Serene 18 Paddle Trail; we have passports available and can stamp your completed routes.

Cole is a lifelong Augustan and lives in Martinez, GA with his wife, Ashley, and children, Cash and Caylee. He credits his parents as role models and believes the company would not have been a success without their encouragement and helpfulness. Cole also has a full time job working for Aggressor Adventures, an international adventure company that has taken him to some very exotic places around the globe. In his (limited) spare time, Cole enjoys coaching, playing sports, hanging with friends, traveling, and rooting for his beloved Braves and Falcons.
