About Us

Founded in 2011, Cole Watkins Tours began as a business project at Augusta State University. After earning an “A+” on the assignment, Cole Watkins decided to turn the idea into reality despite being a cash-strapped college student with just three kayaks to his name. Through hard work, passion, and a love for the outdoors, the company has grown into one of the Augusta area’s favorite outdoor adventure experiences.

Today, Cole Watkins Tours offers guided kayak tours and kayak rentals on a variety of scenic waterways throughout the Augusta area. Whether you’re a first-time paddler or an experienced adventurer, our friendly and knowledgeable guides are committed to providing a safe, memorable, and enjoyable experience on the water. CWT is also a proud paddle partner of the Serene18 Paddle Trail, with passports available for guests looking to track and stamp completed routes.

Cole is a lifelong Augustan and lives in Martinez, Georgia, with his wife Ashley and their children, Cash and Caylee. He credits much of the company’s success to the encouragement and support of his parents. In addition to operating Cole Watkins Tours, Cole works full-time for Aggressor Adventures, an international adventure travel company that has taken him to destinations around the world. When he’s not on the water, Cole enjoys coaching youth sports, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves and Falcons.
